Self Study Program 95 – Skoda Rapid Vehicle presentation

VAG SSP 95. The new model Skoda Rapid will be phased in on the European market from 2001 by Skoda AuTO, offering a modern and attractive overall appearance that will never go out of style.

When faced with the challenging task of naming the new model, the company Skoda AuTO drew inspiration from its automotive history. The selected names had already been given to Skoda models manufactured through two previous production stages. The model Skoda Rapid 420 was produced for the first time in 1934, several modifications were then made to the follow-up Rapid models manufactured until 1947. The second production stage of the Rapid models began thirty-four years later. In 1981, the company Skoda Auto introduced the model Skoda Garde onto the market, which was soon renamed the Rapid. The production of the models Rapid was completed in 1990 with the model Skoda Rapid 136.
