VAG SSP 674 – Audi A1 Sportback (Type GB): A Compact Car with Powerful Features and Personalization Options. Self Study Program 674 covers the Audi A1 Sportback (Type GB), the second generation of Audi’s successful compact car. With powerful and efficient TFSI engines and new-generation driver assist systems, the Audi A1 Sportback (Type GB) is an ideal everyday companion both inside and outside the city.
The Audi A1 Sportback (Type GB) is longer and wider both inside and outside, with a more dynamic, taut appearance thanks to its low single-frame grille and shorter overhangs. The equipment lines (basic, advanced, and S line for the exterior; advanced, design selection, and S line for the interior) provide scope for customization and personalization.
Infotainment systems in the Audi A1 Sportback (Type GB) follow the operating principle of higher segments, with four sound systems rounding off the range. Safety, comfort, and convenience are priorities, with lane departure warning, speed limiter, and Audi pre sense front among the range of driver assist systems available.
The bodyshell provides outstanding passive safety and high torsional stability, with 27% made up of hot-formed ultra-high strength composite parts. The Audi drive select driving dynamics system offers four modes (auto, dynamic, efficiency, and individual) in combination with several driver assist systems.
Efficient and powerful 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder TFSI engines with power outputs ranging from 70 kW (95 bhp) to 147 kW (200 bhp) are available. Infotainment options include a high-resolution MMI touch display, MMI navigation plus with lifetime map updates, Audi smartphone interface, and Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System with 3D sound.
Depending on the engine version, the 5-speed and 6-speed manual gearbox and the 7-speed dual clutch gearbox 0CW are available for vehicles with front-wheel drive. The top-of-the-range engine version with the power output designation 40 TFSI is supplied with the 6-speed dual clutch gearbox 0D9.
