Self Study Program 546 – The Passat 2015 Infotainment and Car-Net
VAG SSP 546. This and other infotainment functions of the Passat 2015 are presented in this publication. The introduction of the second generation modular infotainment matrix (MIB) satisfies the growing demands of customers. Compared with that of the predecessor, the performance of the modular infotainment matrix is much higher in order to offer a more comprehensive infotainment package. The latest generation of Discover Pro, with new navigation functions among its features, is presented in the new Passat. This means, for example, that Discover Pro can display maps from „Google Earth” and „Google Street View”.
„Car-Net” brings together the mobile online services and apps provided by Volkswagen that can be implemented by the second generation modular infotainment matrix. For the first time, this offers a standard user interface for mobile online services and „MirrorLink” functions.
