Self Study Program 78 – Skoda Passive safety

VAG SSP 78. Percentage representation of the frequency of accident impact points. Most often frontal collisions occur during accidents; second in the statistics of crash frequency are accidents in which the rear of the vehicle is affected. The side impact crashes that occur in the remaining cases represent in total 25% of the accidents, which is a negligible share.

Therefore, a complex system of passive safety is integrated in Skoda vehicles, which serves to mitigate the consequences of the above mentioned spectrum of accidents. When developing the elements of passive safety, the company Skoda Auto places a great importance on the protection of all participants in road traffic, this is why Skoda vehicles are also equipped with systems for the protection of pedestrians.

This brochure provides an insight into the individual passive safety systems.
