Self Study Program 47 – Skoda Superb Presentation of the vehicle part II

VAG SSP 47. This first luxury limousine bearing the name Skoda Superb was presented to the public in 1934. Even in those days the car reflected the characteristics which were typical for the Skoda brand during this period, both in terms of styling as well as in mechanical design (central tubular frame, articulated half shafts). As the largest and most representative model it was the apex of the range available from the Skoda brand. The model underwent a considerable number of pronounced updates (it was produced until 1949), and reached its highpoint in a version of eight cylinders, a displacement of 4 litres and a power output of 70 kW.

Skoda Superb

The styling of the new Skoda Superb creates a serious, rugged and timelessly elegant image. The  contoured front end and the round roof provide the car with a modern and dynamic appearance. At the same time, despite the spaciousness which it offers, the design creates an impression of compactness and of a uniform whole. The styling of the car harmoniously integrates characteristic design elements of the Skoda brand, such as the expressive radiator grille and the stylishly shaped wings.
