Self Study Program 430 – Audi A3 Cabriolet

VAG SSP 430. The new Audi Cabriolet. For the first time, Audi is offering a fully fledged cabriolet in the premium compact class. The new Audi A3 Cabriolet makes its debut in a new and rapidly growing segment with impressive product features to not only attract new customers, but also to offer an exciting new option for existing customers.

The fascination of the new Audi A3 Cabriolet stems from its distinctive design coupled with its high-tech fabric convertible top, well-developed driving dynamics and exclusive, premium-quality equipment. For the first time in its class, the new Audi A3 Cabriolet comes as a full-fully fledged four-seater, regardless whether the convertible top is up or down, complete with everyday usability.

The new cabriolet has an expressive design with all the classic hallmarks of an Audi A3. The coupe-like profile of the fabric convertible top accentuates the car’s sporty and compact character. The high perceived value of a classic fabric convertible top is underscored by its precision in terms of function, fit and build quality. Intelligent solutions, such as the space saving Z fold system and a practical convertible top mechanism, enable the top to be opened and closed quickly, even while driving.

Thanks to innovative engineering, modern petrol and diesel engines offer a maximum in efficiency, but make no compromises when it comes to performance and driving dynamics. Moreover, the high efficiency of the manual gearbox and the S tronic twin-clutch gearbox is one of the most effective ways of transmitting torque to the wheels with a minimum of power loss.

The new Audi A3 Cabriolet has a suspension system which offers sporty and responsive handling combined with a high degree of driving stability, both in a straight line and when cornering. A choice of standard suspension or sports suspension enables a variety of requirements to be met. The comfortable and precise electromechanical steering system maximises the car’s advantages in regard to driving dynamics.

Production of the new Audi A3 Cabriolet takes place at the Audi plants in Ingolstadt and Györ (Hungary). As with the Audi TT, the bodyshell is made and painted in Ingolstadt, while a ssembly of the vehicle takes place at the Hungarian plant.
