VAG SSP 407. Driver assist systems are developed to relieve the burden on drivers due to the increasingly dense traffic and the flood of information they have to deal with. These aids support drivers in certain traffic situations or take over driving procedures either completely or partly.

One example is the reversing camera system from Volkswagen. It supports the driver when manoeuvring backwards and reversing into parking spaces.
